1. Who We Are

QB Index ("we," "us," or "our") operates qbindex.com, a youth and high school quarterback evaluation platform. Contact us at support@qbindex.com.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication — we never see your plaintext password).

Rating data: Stats you enter (yards, touchdowns, completions, interceptions, games played, grade/age group, state) are stored to calculate your QB rating and save it to your account.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. QB Index never sees or stores your full card number, expiration date, or CVV. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.

Usage data: We may collect anonymized data about how you interact with the site (pages visited, features used) to improve the product.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Calculate and store your QB rating
• Provide access to purchased reports
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, purchase receipts)
• Improve the accuracy of our rating benchmarks
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following service providers, and only as necessary to operate the platform:

• Google Firebase — Authentication and database storage
• Stripe — Payment processing
• Netlify — Website hosting

Individual player profiles are never published publicly without the account holder's explicit consent.

5. Children's Privacy

QB Index is intended for use by a parent or guardian on behalf of youth athletes, or directly by athletes who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@qbindex.com. Anonymized, aggregated benchmark data (with no personally identifying information) may be retained to maintain the integrity of our national ranking system.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Firebase's enterprise-grade authentication, and Stripe's PCI-compliant payment processing. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email us at support@qbindex.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of QB Index after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using QB Index at qbindex.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

QB Index is a quarterback evaluation tool that generates a statistical rating (0–99) for youth and high school football players based on self-reported season statistics. Reports include attribute grades, national percentile rankings, and a stat-based level projection.

3. Accounts

To save ratings and access purchased reports, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. QB Index cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Payments and Refunds

Single Report ($4.99): Unlocks the full report for one specific QB rating entry. Non-refundable once the report has been revealed.

Unlimited Access ($19.99): Unlocks full reports for all ratings generated under your account. Non-refundable after access is granted.

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. QB Index does not store payment card information. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@qbindex.com within 7 days of the charge.

5. Accuracy of Statistics

QB Index ratings are based entirely on stats entered by the user. We do not verify submitted statistics against official game records. Ratings are intended for informational and motivational purposes only — they are not official evaluations and should not be represented as such to coaches, scouts, or recruiting organizations. QB Index is not responsible for decisions made based on ratings generated by the Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fabricated statistics
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or reproduce the rating algorithm
• Resell or redistribute reports without written permission
• Use automated tools to scrape or interact with the Service

7. Intellectual Property

The QB Index name, logo, rating algorithm, benchmark data, and all site content are the exclusive property of QB Index. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use QB Index's trademarks, trade names, or other intellectual property without our prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that ratings will be accurate for any specific purpose including athletic recruiting.

9. Limitation of Liability

QB Index shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to QB Index in the 90 days preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by emailing support@qbindex.com.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Missouri.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of QB Index after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users of material changes.
